Young donors do it again!

Last year, Siana and Elaina Stainforth became two of the AMGH Foundation’s youngest donors. The sisters, aged 11 and 9 at the time, sold lemonade on their front lawn to raise funds for the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital. Siana had recently visited the Hospital and she was really grateful for the care she received. The lemonade stand was her way of helping to make sure that the Hospital will be there for others who need it too. Their $20 donation made a significant impact by demonstrating that everyone can make a difference when they care and support their community.

“Every gift to the Foundation is meaningful. When people give from their hearts, it makes them feel good, it makes us feel good, and it inspires others” shared Shannon LaHay, AMGH Foundation Executive Director.

Siana and Elaina have done it again. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, they sold cold lemonade from a stand set up on their lawn and raised $105.50 to donate to the AMGH Foundation’s All In…for your health capital campaign!

The Foundation recently announced that they had reached 80% of their goal of raising $3.5 million for the All In…for your health capital campaign, to replace the aging CT Scanner and refurbish the inpatient Mental Health and Addictions Unit at the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital. “When we made our announcement about the progress of the Campaign, we asked the community to help us reach our goal. Siana and Elaina have stepped up to contribute to the success of this campaign and we couldn’t be more grateful.” explained LaHay.
